Brenda Mc Cann

Brenda is an All Ireland Champion on fiddle and piano and Fiddler of Dooney winner. She has toured America and Canada and has two solo recordings to her credit; Blackbirds and Thrushes and Inishkeeragh. She is a member of the Tain Ceili Band winners of the All Ireland Senior Ceili Band competition three years in succession and performed with the band on their cd.  Brenda is a music graduate of Trinity College Dublin and holds a PGCE and MSc. Education from the University of Ulster.  She is currently employed as an instrumental tutor with the WELB music service. She also teaches a weekly  music class in the Bawnacre Centre, Irvinestown, where she passes on her knowledge and love of Irish Traditional Music to her pupils.

Annette Owens

Annette has won All Ireland titles on piano and melodeon. She was a member of the Camowen Ceili Band which was led by the late Sean McCusker.  She has played in Canada and Europe and performs in many venues throughout Ireland. Annette has been a button accordion tutor at the South Sligo Summer School for a number of years and she also teaches at a variety of workshops.  A graduate of the Queen’s University of Belfast, she is Head of Drama and teaches Drama and English in a  local grammar school.  

Brian Mc Grath

Brian Mc Grath, the piano accompanist on the Fly By Night album, is from Brookeborough, South Fermanagh. Brian grew up in the family pub and was exposed to traditional music from a very young age as visiting musicians called there frequently to play and talk about music. He started to play around the age of five starting on accordion and piano, progressing on to banjo in his teenage years. An All Ireland Champion, Brian has played in many bands and groups including Dervish, Four Men and A Dog, The Sean Keane Band and At the Racket. He currently plays in De Danann. He has played on over 200 albums to date and is now a very much sought after accompanist and soloist. Brian travels the world giving workshops and master classes and doing media work.
